Digital menu

A digital menu that also takes the order

Nearly every digital menu is a PDF with photos: the customer looks at it and then still has to get someone's attention. This is a page with your products, their extras and their prices, where the order is picked and finished, and it lands on the bar's board with its VAT and its collection method.

  • No app for the customer
  • No sign-up
  • Free up to 40 products
What's inside it

It changes in a minute and nothing has to be reprinted

You put the price of a coffee up on a Tuesday and the menu already says so, everywhere at once: on the poster by the door, in your Instagram bio and in the link you sent over WhatsApp yesterday. There is no old version doing the rounds.

  • Categories, photo, description and price per product
  • Extras with a price of their own: double cheese, large size, no onion
  • One VAT rate per product, and prices shown with or without tax included
  • Whatever runs out goes to zero and disappears from the order until you restock it
And it orders too

From reading the menu to the order being on the bar

The customer picks, marks their extras and finishes. What reaches your side is not a notice that somebody was browsing: it is an order with its lines, its total and its collection method, on the same board as everything else.

  • Pickup at the place or home delivery, within your radius in kilometres
  • They are asked for a name; phone and email only if you mark them as required
  • They can pay when they finish, into your own Stripe account, or pay you on pickup
  • Nothing to install and no account to create
How you hand it over

It is an ordinary address, so it fits anywhere

Your menu lives at yourshop.talktocart.com. It is not a file that has to be sent or an app that has to be found: it is a link, and a link goes wherever you want it to.

  • On a poster or a sticker on the door
  • In your Instagram bio and on your Facebook page
  • In the chat, when somebody asks about the menu
  • TalkToCart does not generate the QR code: because it is an ordinary address, any free generator will do
What it costs

Free for a small menu, and never any commission

The free plan goes up to forty products and does not expire. When you connect payments, the money goes into a Stripe account that is yours: we keep no percentage of any order.

  • Forty products on the free plan, with no card
  • 0% commission per sale, whatever you sell
  • The only thing deducted is Stripe's card fee, which you pay Stripe

Straight answers

What people ask before throwing out the laminated menu

Does it generate the QR code?

No. The menu is an ordinary web address, so any free QR generator will do, and the code doesn't expire as long as you don't change the shop's name.

Does the customer have to install an app or sign up?

Neither. They open the link in their phone's browser, pick and order. They are asked for a name, and for a phone or email only if you mark those.

Can I change a price mid-morning?

Yes, from the panel, and it is changed straight away everywhere you have put the link. There are no old copies going around.

What if I only want the menu, without orders?

The menu and the order come together: the link shows the products and lets people order them. The closest thing is tying it to your opening hours, and then outside them it shows the products but takes no orders.

Does it work for a bakery or a greengrocer?

Yes. It is the same menu with different products, and the sector is chosen when the shop is created.

How many photos can I put up?

Each product takes its own images, in jpg, png, gif or webp. What the free plan limits is the number of products: forty.

Swap the laminated menu for a link

Adding ten products takes less time than getting the old menu to the printer's.
